There are few things as relaxing as the contemplation of a mountain stream, such as this one, which flows through the painting in a diagonal composition. The sun filters through the trees of this majestic forest north of León. I resisted the temptation to include any animals despite the company of wagtails, kingfishers and blackbirds as I painted it.
