    The heavy, warm, and dusty atmosphere of the African bush completely envelops you. It is a masterful painting because it manages to extract immense tenderness from animals traditionally considered rough or coarse. The composition is superb: that large female warthog lying in the shade of an imposing, ancient tree trunk, peacefully asleep while her offspring rests sheltered beside her, conveys a sense of peace and vulnerability in the midst of the untamed savanna that is pure wild poetry.

    The masterful touch, the one that breaks the monotony of earth tones and provides a striking focal point, is that small oxpecker perched on the animal's back. You have perfectly captured that symbiotic relationship: the little bird, with its characteristic bright red beak and golden eye, remains upright and vigilant, acting as the guardian of the sleeping giant's dreams. The textures of the warthog's hard, disheveled bristles on its back, the dry, cracked mud on its skin, the extreme roughness of the tree bark, and the sharp, whitish tusks protruding from the ground are a true lesson in field painting. The golden, filtered light of the sunset that seeps into the background crowns a work with outstanding animalistic sensitivity.
