    El águila imperial ibérica es la reina indiscutible de nuestros cielos en monte mediterráneo, y en este lienzo has logrado capturar toda su altiveza y esa mirada penetrante, casi severa, que impone tanto respeto.
    Es espectacular el juego lumínico sobre el plumaje: la luz incide directamente en la nuca y el caperuz de tonos leonados y dorados, haciendo que resplandezca con fuerza contra ese fondo neutro y difuminado en penumbra. El detalle del hombro con sus características plumas blancas (las «gorgueras») está ejecutado con una precisión y un contraste limpios y bellísimos. Es un retrato de perfil que rebosa una dignidad absoluta. Una pieza majestuosa con una fuerza en la mirada impecable. Quedo a la espera de la siguiente Exposición.
