The day falls for this big cat, Iberia's carnivorous jewel. Proud, haughty, and now pampered, with little more than a hundred brothers alive on the planet. Another of my compositions in an inverted 'L', broken only by the torso of the feline. This painting is an oil painting on canvas. 81 x 116 cms Manuel Sosa © 2012

True art in the hands and heart The fine art print is beautiful. It looks even better in person. I ordered it as a gift for a bird lover. By mistake, they sent me a different one, and Mr. Sosa had the wonderful gesture of gifting me the incorrect one and sending me the one I had ordered, which allowed me to give a truly magnificent gift. Both are beautiful. Thank you for your generosity. The person who received them is a follower of your paintings and was immensely happy. Many thanks.
European turtle dove I have this painting, and others too, a marvel. I have my home adorned with several paintings by Manuel: a Song Thrush, a Common Snipe, a Common Quail. If my house were bigger, I would have more. Thank you Manuel for making these paintings more accessible.
I was able to customize the fine art prints Many thanks for your help, very professional and approachable. I wish you all the best!

Alba de Andrés -
An imposing composition, Manuel! Placing the lynx crowning that huge rocky scree breaks with the typical flat framings and gives it a breathtaking «king of the mountain» air. It transmits that tense, feline calm: it seems to be napping in the sun, but its narrowed gaze absolutely dominates the entire valley at its feet.
The texture work on that colossal rock in the foreground is an absolute marvel; you have perfectly captured the grey and white lichens and the roughness of the granite with superb relief. The sunset light strikes the right flank of the stone from the side, bathing it in a spectacular golden ochre that contrasts with the cold, cloudy tones of the storm-threatening sky in the background. The lynx, lying at ease right at the top with its legs stretched out, stands out with perfect anatomical clarity, from the fine brushwork for the facial ruff and the black ear tufts to the spotting of its coat. It is superb.
Alba María Roblas Moreno -
Another marvellous lynx, paid tribute to by Manuel Sosa in a sublime, unsurpassable way.
And now I am going to make a petition and protest a little:
When will the Reina Sofía Museum acquire some of his works so that we, the general public -or plebs for some- can enjoy them?
Please, let the Ministry of Culture do its job (I wouldn't even mind if they put it next to a modern doodle and/or a joke, I'd put up with it stoically, I'd try not to laugh, I promise).
And on the other hand, I know that this work is the one that gives publicity to the temporary exhibition -too brief- in the Museum of Natural Sciences in Madrid (my most sincere congratulations) but it should be extended throughout Spain because this fauna and the Art that represents it should be a bit of everyone's, a national treasure. That is how I feel.
And the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts.
It is a disgrace that an artist of this stature is valued more highly abroad than in his own country.
