    ¡Vaya joya absoluta, Sosa! El formato ovalado le otorga un aire de pintura clásica de gran tradición naturalista, casi como un óleo del siglo XIX, pero con la frescura y la verdad de campo que solo tú sabes darle. Capturar a la perdiz en pleno celo, subida a una piedra en una pose tan noble y desafiante, es un acierto total.

    El tratamiento de la luz es sencillamente magistral. Ese sol denso del atardecer o el amanecer mediterráneo entra de lado y enciende el pecho de la perdiz con unos tonos anaranjados y ocres espectaculares, haciendo que los grises y el barreado del costado vibren con una fuerza tridimensional increíble. Las texturas de las rocas cubiertas de líquenes, las espigas de pasto seco iluminadas a contraluz en la base y la espesura umbría del matorral al fondo envuelven al ave en una atmósfera densa, indómita y puramente ibérica. Es un cuadro bellísimo y con un empaque extraordinario.
