    The vulnerability of the bird sheltering from the elements is pure visual poetry.
    What delicacy in the brushwork and textures, that hoopoe with its plumage slightly fluffed and damp, perched on an old trunk covered with dense moss and lichens. The background, worked in blurred green and grayish tones with a washed-out look, perfectly conveys the feeling of a gray day and that fine forest drizzle that envelops everything. The crest folded back and the static pose give it an intimate and unique character. Superb!
