Many animals gorge themselves in the dehesa on the acorns that the Quercus trees dropped in October. I also take advantage, as I love the Holm oak acorns, and it's always a pleasure to eat from the land. It is the «montanera» season, and the Iberian pigs now roam freely under the trees, gathering as many as they can, up to 10 kilos in a single day! The dehesa is now an immense larder of this delicacy, and there is enough for everyone. Oil on canvas. Manuel Sosa © 2024

True art in the hands and heart The fine art print is beautiful. It looks even better in person. I ordered it as a gift for a bird lover. By mistake, they sent me a different one, and Mr. Sosa had the wonderful gesture of gifting me the incorrect one and sending me the one I had ordered, which allowed me to give a truly magnificent gift. Both are beautiful. Thank you for your generosity. The person who received them is a follower of your paintings and was immensely happy. Many thanks.
European turtle dove I have this painting, and others too, a marvel. I have my home adorned with several paintings by Manuel: a Song Thrush, a Common Snipe, a Common Quail. If my house were bigger, I would have more. Thank you Manuel for making these paintings more accessible.
I was able to customize the fine art prints Many thanks for your help, very professional and approachable. I wish you all the best!

Marcelo Daniel -
This painting is an absolute ode to the Spanish countryside and our most deeply rooted traditions. The dehesa during the montanera season is captured with astonishing mastery and detail.
One perceives the immensity of the holm oak forest, those centenary Holm oaks with twisted and majestic trunks that filter the golden sunlight, creating a warm and almost sacred atmosphere on the forest floor. The herd of Iberian pigs grazing freely among the grass and searching for acorns brings extraordinary life and realism to the composition. It is a genre and naturalist piece that evokes a great deal of rural nostalgia and pride.
