    Manuel, this is a cinematic work on canvas! What a true display of wild strength and tension you bring us now. A composition that is pure narrative of survival in our Iberian wildlife.

    The adrenaline splashes over you instantly. It is a masterful painting in how you manage to capture the frenetic movement. That group of roe deer breaking into a run across a dense, snowy slope transmits a brutal dynamism; one can almost hear the clicking of hooves compacting the loose snow and the panting of the animals in full flight. The alert expressions on their faces, the erect ears, and the muscular tension of the bucks with their velvet antlers are captured with an astonishing field knowledge.

    But the soul of the work, the element that elevates the dramatic tension to infinity, is that «ghost» emerging in the background amidst the sleet: the imposing figure of a wolf in full pursuit. By dissolving the predator among the abstract brushstrokes of the snowstorm, you make the threat feel omnipresent and ghostly, forcing the roe deer to leap toward the viewer in an overwhelming foreground. The cold palette, dominated by pure whites, grises, and winter leaden tones, makes the brown and fiery coats of the ungulates vibrate with a tremendous plastic and emotional force. It is a masterpiece of naturalistic action.
