True art in the hands and heart The fine art print is beautiful. It looks even better in person. I ordered it as a gift for a bird lover. By mistake, they sent me a different one, and Mr. Sosa had the wonderful gesture of gifting me the incorrect one and sending me the one I had ordered, which allowed me to give a truly magnificent gift. Both are beautiful. Thank you for your generosity. The person who received them is a follower of your paintings and was immensely happy. Many thanks.
European turtle dove I have this painting, and others too, a marvel. I have my home adorned with several paintings by Manuel: a Song Thrush, a Common Snipe, a Common Quail. If my house were bigger, I would have more. Thank you Manuel for making these paintings more accessible.
I was able to customize the fine art prints Many thanks for your help, very professional and approachable. I wish you all the best!

Manuel Sosa -
The Scent of the Dehesa – Manuel Sosa
Walking through the holm oak groves of Torrecilla de la Tiesa in the height of spring, with the countryside bursting with greens and yellows, is one of my greatest weaknesses. In this panoramic canvas, I wanted to capture the pure essence of Extremadura: the old dirt path, the dry-stone wall, and the cool shade of a century-old holm oak inviting you to pause. I used a very vivid and impasto brushstroke to bring out the strength of the canopies and the vibration of the sunlight. In the end, I didn't just paint a landscape; I painted that clean silence that can only be breathed in the heart of the dehesa.

You have an absolute gift for painting the Mediterranean countryside. It is not just that you depict the trees so well; it is that you manage to capture on the canvas the temperature of the air, the scent of damp grass, and that clean spring light that makes you want to start walking down that dirt path.
It is truly remarkable how you handle the panoramic perspective and the shadows. That great holm oak in the foreground, casting its cool shadow over the path, masterfully balances the entire composition. To the right, that traditional dry-stone wall, so typical of our dehesas, guides the eye toward an infinite horizon dotted with century-old holm oaks and yellow fields that smell of wildflowers. Technically, the impasto in the tree canopies and the vibration of the greens and yellows under that cottony sky prove that you know and love the Iberian landscape like no one else.
What a beautiful way to capture the light of Cáceres.
