    Las abubillas son aves con un magnetismo estético brutal por sus crestas y su plumaje cebra, pero la escena que has capturado aquí tiene un plus de lirismo increíble. El contraste entre el mundo salvaje y el rústico o decadente: esa ventana antigua de madera desgastada y cristal roto sirve de escenario para una escena íntima de cortejo o alimentación, donde una abubilla se asoma desde la parte superior para entregar un insecto en el pico de la otra, que espera abajo con la cresta magníficamente desplegada. El detalle de los cardos secos en primer plano a la derecha remata una composición costumbrista y naturalista sublime. Has capturado la esencia de la España rural y su fauna con una poesía y una textura en el lienzo memorables.
